The global labour market assess that workers, especially the Young ones, have in their CV experiences in other countries, mainly to reinforce new business opportunities.
In this mobility process, a good preparation for the trip is crucial for the integration and the benefit obtained from the time spent. Conspicuously, the better planned the experience is, the more the mobility will be satisfactory for students and workers. On that will depend, among other things that people enjoying this kind of experiences return to their original destinations delighted with the impact and benefit – both personal and professional – of this journey in their careers.
In this respect, a key cornerstone for the Vocational Training Centres is to guide the young people providing reliable information about these mobilities by means of new technologies and social media throughout all their formative itinerary in order to make them able to exploit the opportunities that the UE gives to them.
An app to support the mobility process
With the Somex Project it is intended to adapt the transmission and management of the student and workers mobility process in the construction industry, to the technological means and new communication platforms, including mobile devices.
Throughout this initiative, a wide set of tools will be developed for the preparation, the functioning and the further processing of students and personnel exchange, created with the current technological and communicational means. The result shall be carried out in a final product which is a mobile device application for the Android operating system, with which young people will have a support directly from their smartphones or tablet throughout the whole mobility process.
